in8 was approached to attempt to help solve a safety problem experienced by cyclists whilst on the road in busy towns and cities, by using a modified air cannister could an air horn be produced that was lightweight, easy to use and loud enough for lorry and bus drivers to hear whilst sat at the wheel. in8 came up with some initial designs and sketches and went on to produce a set of working prototypes for testing and demonstration purposes. The Big Horn was demonstrated to the Prime Minister during one if his recent visits to the area.
